Helen Frances (HF) Darr Poehlmann
married Luther in 1978 and they have reared four sons. Mrs.
Poehlmann has been an educator all of her professional life,
directing One-Act Plays, teaching English, and serving as Chairperson
of the Humanities Department of Blinn College. She retired from
Blinn in 2012 and now spends time enjoying her grandchildren.
She has written a number of poems that Luther would like to
collect and publish for her—stay tuned.
Matthew Carl Poehlmann, our eldest
son, attended and graduated from the University of New Mexico
on a football scholarship. He and his wife Danielle, an interior
designer, and children Hunter and Ella, reside in Spicewood,
Texas, where Matthew is a home builder and has built scores
of homes in and around Austin, Texas and the hill country. Their
company, Big Country Custom Homes, Inc. usually has some spec
homes available or lots available for building your custom home.

Mark Daniel Poehlmann attended
Blinn College, where he played football for the Buccaneers and
was an Academic All-American, and transferred to and graduated
from the University of Texas. After graduation he worked as
an independent oil and gas contract land man (AAPL) for several
years, leasing land positions in plays in south, central and
east Texas, and, recently graduated from the South Texas College
of Law with a J.D. and is now employed with Shell Oil. He and
his wife Christina, a CPA with Conoco-Phillips, reside in west
Houston.
Luke Caleb Poehlmann graduated
from the University of Texas, where he played football for the
Longhorns. After graduation, Luke works as a youth minister
with Young Life Ministries and recently had a role in the production
of My All-American, a movie about the life of Freddie Steinmark,
due to be released later this year (2015). Luke plays one of
the 1969 Longhorns, Bob McKay, in the film. Luke and his wife
Michelle reside in Smithson Valley (north of San Antonio) where

John Paul Poehlmann currently
attends Rice University on a football scholarship. While at
Rice, John’s entrepreneurial efforts made his business
project, “You Hoot Me”, one of the finalists in
Rice’s renowned annual Owl Spark program for 2014. Google
